Meet and Greet
Anne
Phelan is a member of The Dramatists Guild. A graduate of Hampshire College
(B.A.) and the Trinity Rep Conservatory, Anne has been writing plays for
20 years. She grew up in Cleveland, and lives on an island (in Brooklyn on
the Long Island), near a canal (the Gowanus). Her most recent full-length
production was Mushroom in Her Hands, directed by Julie Fei-Fan Balzer, with
music by Nick Moore, which was produced by the Milk Can Theatre Company at
the Michael Weller Theatre in Spring 2005. Anne has written thirteen full-length
plays, eleven one-acts, one award-winning children’s play, four ten-minute
plays and two ten-minute musicals. She’s currently at work, with composer Alan Cancelino,
on her first cabaret, and has taken to blogging (The
Dramahound).
