Body Shop

The body shop looks like it could be any store, until you figure out that it sells body parts. Sam works for Rachel, the owner who’s also his girlfriend. Matt comes to the store to get his head replaced, but then Starr intervenes. Matt wants Starr’s sister’s head to replace his own, and Starr wants his sister back.

This play was performed as part of the Twenty-Four Hour Play Festival at the William Inge Theatre Festival (Peter Ellenstein, Festival Director) in September 2003. It was directed by Hoite Caston.

“Body Shop” is published by Smith & Kraus in 2006: The Best 10-Minute Plays for 3 or More Actors. It is available from Barnes & Noble.
